William Sands House offers historic lodging accommodations on Millionaire’s Row near downtown Erie, Pennsylvania. Each room has a private bath, cable television, free wireless internet, and individual room controls for heat and air-conditioning. Free off-street parking for one vehicle per room is also included.
The 1888 Victorian home is located two blocks from downtown Erie in the West 6th Street Historic District. The residential neighborhood is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Many wonderful restaurants and local attractions are within walking distance of the house.
We utilize a keypad entry system on our guest entrance door and guest rooms. Guests can arrive any time after 3:00 PM and have immediate access to their room, day or night. Our guest entrance door is accessed from the rear parking area located directly behind the house. The keypad code is selected by each guest and removed after departure.
William Sands House owners, the Kidder family, also own and operate George Carroll House located at 401 Peach Street in downtown Erie. The Queen Anne style house was built in 1872 and has seven guest rooms. The two houses are within 4.5 blocks of each other.
Both facilities provide historic lodging and a continental breakfast.
